Mark Mo, Chairman of Jiangsu Etern Co.,Ltd. (Etern) and Eastern Superconducting Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (Eastsuper), Mandy Li, Vice Chairwoman of Eastsuper, and Gordon Zhang, Deputy General Manager of Etern and General Manager of Eastsuper, attended the forum. Chairman Mark Mo delivered a welcome speech, emphasizing that the industrialization of high-temperature superconducting technology relies on industry-university-research collaboration and the joint efforts of upstream and downstream parties. The youth forum aims to build an exchange platform to promote achievement sharing and technological interoperability. Young talents are the core force of industrial innovation. He looked forward to joint efforts to accelerate technology transformation and application implementation, and jointly promote the high-quality development of China's high-temperature superconducting industry.

As the first private enterprise in China to lay out the second-generation high-temperature superconducting tape, Eastsuper, a subsidiary of Etern, has been focusing on the R&D and industrialization of high-temperature superconducting tapes. The holding of this youth forum is not only a reflection of Eastsuper's responsibility to gather youth wisdom and promote industrial upgrading, but also an important measure to break down industry-university-research barriers and facilitate the transformation of technological achievements.

In the panel discussion session, young scholars and industry experts held in-depth dialogues and brainstormed on topics including Engineering Challenges of High-Temperature Superconducting Magnets, Collaborative Development Model of High-Temperature Superconducting Industry Chain, Youth Talent Training and Innovation Incentives, and Global Technical Competition Landscape and Development Strategies. Combining their own research and practical experience, the guests offered suggestions for accelerating the industrialization of high-temperature superconducting magnet technology, and clarified the key directions of future technological innovation and industrial collaboration.

At the forum, guests including Associate Professor Sheng Jie and Associate Researcher Jiang Junjie from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Associate Researcher Yang Xinsheng from Southwest Jiaotong University, Senior Engineer Ning Feipeng from Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Associate Researcher Zhang Zhan from High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Deputy General Manager of Hefei Xing Nuclear Fusion Technology Co., Ltd., Director Xue Shengquan from Hefei International Center for Applied Superconductivity, and General Manager Wu Ze from Hunan Greentech Superconducting Technology Co., Ltd. had in-depth exchanges on core topics.

In the special report session, Eastsuper's core technical team and industry experts delivered cutting-edge sharing on topics such as R&D Progress of REBCO Superconducting Tapes for High-Field Applications, Problems and Reflections on High-Temperature Superconducting Magnets for Fusion Reactors, Development Progress of Aluminum-Stabilized High-Temperature Superconducting Stacked Cables, Research and Prospect of Stellarator Magnet Engineering Technology, Commercial Application and Progress of Superconducting Technology, and Progress of REBCO Superconducting Magnet Technology for High-Field Applications, covering all dimensions from basic research to industrial application. The on-site reports triggered heated discussions with a strong academic atmosphere.

During the forum, participating guests also visited Eastsuper's superconducting tape production line, R&D laboratory and superconducting testing laboratory, observing the preparation, R&D, testing processes and core equipment of second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes at close range. They intuitively experienced Eastsuper's strong strength and technical advantages in the field of second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes, and further deepened their understanding of the industrialization prospect of high-temperature superconducting technology.

The successful holding of the 1st Youth Forum on High-Temperature Superconducting Magnet Technology not only provides a platform for young talents in the industry to showcase their talents and exchange ideas, but also builds a bridge for industry-university-research-application collaborative innovation, effectively promoting upstream and downstream collaboration in the field of high-temperature superconducting applications and helping solve core pain points in industrial development.

In the future, Eastsuper will continue to play an industry-leading role, hold such exchange activities on a regular basis, gather youth innovation forces, deepen industry-university-research cooperation, promote greater breakthroughs in high-temperature superconducting magnet technology, help China occupy a core advantage in the global superconducting industry competition, and contribute to the development of national strategic emerging industries.
