On June 4, 2026, Eastern Superconducting Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. ("Eastsuper") was officially selected for the 2026 Yangtze River Delta Key Products and Processes "One-Stop" Application Plan, taking on core participation responsibilities in the field of HTS Tapes & Cables.

About the Yangtze River Delta "One-Stop" Application Plan The "One-Stop" Application Plan aims to bring together organizations across the upstream, midstream, and downstream supply chains—as well as academia, research institutions, and end-users—to drive technical innovation and deployment of key products and processes. By pairing foundational nationwide innovations with regional market demands, the program builds a demand-driven, collaborative ecosystem across the Yangtze River Delta. Focused on the six core industrial foundations, the program selected 42 projects following expert evaluation organized by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center.

Driving Next-Generation Energy Infrastructure As a core participant, Eastsuper will collaborate with industry leaders—including State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company and Shanghai Cable Research Institute Co., Ltd.—to address the growing demands of high-density, large-capacity power transmission and the green upgrading of computing power infrastructure.

The consortium will focus on key technological breakthroughs in 220–500 kV superconducting cable systems and their supporting cryogenic cooling systems. The ultimate goal is to achieve full-system integration and cost reduction for HTS cable engineering, accelerating commercial deployment across data computing centers, AI computing parks, and major power grid transmission projects.

Eastsuper will leverage this milestone to maximize its HTS tape manufacturing strengths, deepen collaboration within the Yangtze River Delta innovation framework, and contribute "Eastsuper power" to building modern power systems and achieving national carbon neutrality goals.
